Under CDOT Local Agency oversight, Drexel, Barrell & Co. provided a traffic study and multimodal alternatives, surveying, engineering, and coordination of other federally required studies for the City of Westminster utilizing the CM/GC delivery method. The project connected Downtown Westminster with the RTD Park and Ride east of Sheridan Boulevard via an underpass and eliminated a busy at-grade crossing along the US 36 Bikeway. It also provided enhanced pedestrian crosswalks at the Sheridan Boulevard and 88th Avenue intersection including RRFBs, raised crosswalks, wayfinding signage, signage and striping trail connections, and construction administration services.
