Mike Middleton is a Principal at Drexel, Barrell & Co. He has over 35 years of civil engineering and consulting experience in Colorado. Mike's duties include serving as Drexel, Barrell & Co.'s President and CEO.
Prior to becoming a civil engineering consultant in 1980, Mike was City Engineer for the City of Broomfield, and Operations Engineer for the Boulder County Public Works Department, both in Colorado. While at Broomfield, he often reviewed Drexel, Barrell & Co. engineering plans and plats. Because the plans exhibited outstanding quality and exceptional graphics, he developed a long-term respect and admiration for the company. This eventually led Mike to become a member of the Drexel Barrell team in 1993.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado and California. Mike has been the engineer of record on important public and private sector projects throughout Colorado.
